In alignment with India’s growing focus on renewable energy education, Aeron Systems partnered with the Government of Maharashtra to deploy Weather Monitoring Stations (WMS) across Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under a dedicated Solar Lab initiative.
Project Background
The Government of Maharashtra launched a forward-looking initiative to establish Solar Labs in 48 ITI institutes, aimed at equipping students with practical exposure to renewable energy technologies. This initiative complements national programs such as:
PM-KUSUM
PM Surya Ghar Yojana
These programs are accelerating solar adoption across India and simultaneously increasing demand for skilled and semi-skilled professionals in the renewable energy sector.
Recognizing this demand, the Solar Lab initiative focuses on bridging the skill gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
Objective
The primary goal of the project was to:
· Provide hands-on technical training on environmental parameters affecting solar plant performance
· Enable students to understand real-world solar plant operations and performance analytics
· Develop industry-ready talent equipped with practical knowledge of instrumentation and data interpretation
Solution Delivered
Aeron Systems designed and deployed a compact, portable, and student-friendly Weather Monitoring Station tailored specifically for educational use, while maintaining industry-grade performance standards.
