On February 25th, 2017, Aeron Systems was presented with the prestigious DEMA Excellence Award for its work in Inertial Navigation Systems. The award was handed over by Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, scientific advisor to the Defense Minister of India (SA to RM). Mr. Ashvani Shukla and Mr. Abhijeet Bokil, founders of Aeron Systems, accepted the award on behalf of the organization.

During his address, Dr. Reddy expressed his delight about many young entrepreneurs working in the manufacturing sector, especially those supplying equipment to the defense sector. He pointed out that DRDOs should focus on translational research while private industries should work on systems and subsystems in niche areas. He emphasized the co-existence of DRDOs, DPSUs, and industries, complementing each other.

Prior to the award function, Dr. Satheesh Reddy visited Aeron Systems and got acquainted with Aeron’s Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) and technology under development. The honorable guest acknowledged the work done by Aeron and shared his words of encouragement with the young Aeron team.
